Get To Know...Buddy Cherie

If you've been to Miracle League a thousand times or just once, you know Cherie. She greets everyone with an infectious smile!

Cherie graduated from Wentworth with a degree in Interior Design and now works in Boston. However, she grew up in Acton, graduating from ABRHS, and still lives nearby in West Acton. There are many reasons Cherie makes a great buddy; her softball skills (from college), her sincere upbeat attitude, her nurturing nature (she's the big sister to a brother and two sisters), and so much more. Let's get to know one of our absolute favorite buddies...Cherie!

My favorite part of Miracle League is...making so many friends and seeing everyone have so much fun!

My favorite baseball team is...the Red Sox of course! “Boston you’re my home!”

My favorite player is...Jon Lester, I love seeing how focused and hard working he his during every outing.

When I'm not watching baseball, my favorite show is...How I Met Your Mother, it always makes me laugh!

The best song I've heard is...a live version of Belief by John Mayer.

My drive to ML on Saturdays is...very short! I live right around the corner in West Acton.

I do Miracle League because...I love the people and the game of baseball. I can’t think of any better way to spend a Saturday.

My favorite website is...ScoutingNY. It’s a blog written by a scout for movie locations about all the cool/historical/unexpected sites and buildings in NYC. If only there was a similar blog for Boston!

To relax, I...sit on my deck and enjoy the peace and quiet, sometimes with a good book.

My dream vacation...is a Mediterranean cruise with a few stops in Italy along the way.

Best advice I've ever heard…“Dance like there's nobody watching, love like you'll never be hurt, sing like there's nobody listening, and live like it's heaven on earth.”
